STREET TEAM: “Walk on the Wild Side”

On Thursday, July 22, 2010, Bristol Stone Events and Mainstage on Main (the old Sammy’s) presented “Walk on the Wild Side”  Bachelor/Bachelorette Celebrity LIVE Auction benefiting Cancer Counseling, Inc.  

Twelve stunning bachelors and bachelorettes generously donated their time to be auctioned off to raise money to fund counseling for cancer patients.   Guests enjoyed bidding on a former bachelor contestant from the ABC show, The Bachelorette Season 5 (Sasha Petrovic), a Houston Astro’s baseball player (Bud Norris, Pitcher), Yankee’s Baseball Player, Former Hawaiian Tropic model (Heather Norton), and many more.   Special K and Phoenix from 104.1 were the emcees for the evening.  In addition to the sultry singles up for bid, guests enjoyed a rockin’ after party featuring live music by Blue Finger Disco, following the auction.

For the past 28 years, CCI has made an important difference to people in our community and is the only local charity that is chartered to help ‘the families’ of people that are diagnosed with cancer through free professional counseling therapy for individuals, groups, and families. Profits from this occasion will help CCI to provide free professional therapy to individuals and their families in Houston struggling with the emotional effects of cancer.  Each year, CCI reaches out to more than 4,000 people, offering six personal sessions and unlimited group sessions to each patient and their caregiver(s).
