Theater District Day

On Sunday, August 29 from noon - 5 p.m., Downtown Houston's 17-block Theatre District is home to eight performing arts organizations, which offer this free peek behind the scenes each summer. Stages of the Wortham Theatre Center, Alley Theatre, Jones Hall, Aerial Theater and the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts offer backstage tours, ongoing live performances, set and costume displays and sneak previews of the coming performing arts season.

This free, family-friendly event will take place in the heart of the Theater District at the Alley Theatre (615 Texas Ave.),Hobby Center for the Performing Arts (800 Bagby), Wortham Theater Center (500 Texas Ave.), Angelika Film Center (510 Texas Ave.), and Jones Hall (615 Louisiana Ave.)
